Finally, some attention on America's kids!

I watched and listened to Robert F. Kennedy as he announced he was pausing his campaign this past week. If you didn't see it, it's well worth watching. I'm usually pretty unemotional, but when he started talking about the health of American kids today, I got teary-eyed.

I'm not sure how anyone could disagree with him on the points he made. Especially his points about restoring the health of American kids!

If you missed it, check it out below.

It's not just the extreme rates of obesity that are an issue, though.

Rates of anxiety and depression are through the roof. Kids are sick more often. They're tired and weak. They're not fit. The following graph from before the COVID circus. It gives you a good indication of the mental state of teenagers in early 2020 (likely much worse today).

How sad is that, that almost half of kids surveyed don't enjoy life, don't feel they're useful, and feel they can't do anything right?

What parent wouldn't want to help their kids feel better if they could? But how?

Let's start with the top 3 things you could do, starting today, that would have the fastest impact on their mental wellbeing.

1. Get them eating more protein

I know you're constantly told to get rid of processed foods, but if your kids are used to eating them, that'll be one of the hardest things you can do, unless...

Unless you help them lose their appetite for that stuff. Protein is how you do that.

Higher protein intakes consistently decrease cravings for sugary foods and other processed foods. Higher protein intakes keep blood sugar in check so energy levels aren't going up and down.

And, by eating more protein, kids will build muscle and be less likely to gain excess body fat.

It begins at breakfast. In fact, this is the most important meal for keeping it high in protein. I wrote more about why higher protein intake is so essential for kids in the article below, and included some tasty recipe ideas to help you out, too.

2. Get them to bed early enough to sleep 8-9 hours

It doesn't matter how well you eat, how fit your kids are, or how gifted they are with their genetics, if they don't get enough sleep, their bodies and brains won't function right.

Neither will yours.

The best thing you could do is to lead by example. Go to bed when you want them to go to bed.

If you're not yet convince, read (or listen) to the following article.

3. Give them an edge

I'm a tough one to impress when it comes to nutritional supplements, but what I've seen and experienced with Amare in the past nine months has been mind-blowing.

That's the case with supplements for adults like the Happy Juice Pack, but also for kids with the Amare Kids Pack.

The stories of kids moods, attitudes towards studying, energy levels, decreased anxiousness, and more positive attitudes have been so touching to read.

Will they work for 100% of kids? Probably not. But they do work for most. And once parents see the difference in their kids, they don't want to go without them.

With school starting up again, this is a perfect time to put them to the test.
